Progress Reporting for EAL Learners

To support classroom teachers in assigning standards of achievement, selecting comments, and providing narrative for EAL students in their classroom which is required when using Regina Public Schools elementary school progress reporting documents a set of guiding practices has been developed. This document is entitled English as an Additional Language Progress Reporting Guidlines.

In addition to the completion of a progress report, completion of the English as an Additional Language Progress Report Insert (one for students in Kindergarten to Grade 5 and one for students in Grade 6-Grade 8) is also required for all EAL learners attending elementary school in Regina Public Schools who are described as A1.1, A1.2, A2.1, A2.2, B1.1 and B1.2 as outlined in the A Guide to Using the Common Framework of Reference (CFR) With Learners of English as an Additional Language (EAL).
