GarageBand allows students to digitally create or record their own music and voices to use with other applications within iLife '06. GarageBand is part of the iLife package from Apple. The package includes iMovie, iTunes, iPhoto,
iDVD and GarageBand. Content created in one is always available to the other.
With little or no musical background students can create original pieces using the built in "loops" and instruments available in GarageBand. The software can also be used to record vocals or live performances
using the built in microphone on the computer or by using an external microphone.
Original Music
JDO'S Song - For my identity project I made a song in GarageBand. It represents me because I am vibrant, energetic, and I love music. The notes also reflect my creativity and my taste of music. The beginning shows how I live my life in an ambience of beat and rhythm. The part after that shows my darker, quiet side. After that comes my energy, creativity and fast paced thinking. After that, comes the violin solo, for the loss and unhappiness, but there isn’t that much of it. Then comes the recreation of the first guitar solo cause I thought it was cool.
