C.O.P.E., the Community Parent Education Program, is offering sessions for the 2012-13 school year.

Cope is an effective parenting program that helps parents to develop a more positive approach to parenting in a supportive environment.  It also provides an opportunity to meet other parents who face some of the same challenges with their children’s behaviour.

Read more about the program here and see the schedule of sessions here.

Beginning in September 2012, elementary school EAL students will be attending their neighbourhood schools and will no longer be transported to one of 13 “sector schools”. The EAL teachers and supports that currently are in place in the sector schools will be reallocated throughout our school division to provide the language and education services that will benefit, not only EAL students, but all Regina Public Schools students. There will be no changes at the high school level. The move to neighbourhood schools is a practice that many other school divisions use and it has proven educationally sound.
