Tooth Tally Project - What's something most first graders have in common? Lost teeth! This is an invitation to join a project where first grade teachers can utilize these lost teeth to integrate technology and a variety of curriculum objectives.

Global Grocery List - Students share local grocery prices to build a growing table of data to be used in social studies, science, health, mathematics, and other disciplines.
Flat Stanley - In the book, Flat Stanley, by Jeff Brown, Stanley is squashed flat by a falling bulletin board. One of the many advantages is that Flat Stanley can now visit his friends by traveling in an envelope. This premise provides a reason for us to keep in touch with each other. The Flat Stanley Project is a group of teachers who want to provide students with another reason to write. Students' written work goes to other places by conventional mail and e-mail.
Grandmother and Me - "Grandmother and Me" is an multi-lingual, long term project about grandmothers around the world. Students from around the world are encouraged to tell everyone the name for grandmother in their language, ways they spend time (or did spend time) with their grandmother and why she is very special. In addition, a multi-lingual "Grandmother Storybook" is in progress to date in 13 languages.
WebQuests for Primary Students
A WebQuest presents student groups with a challenging problem to solve which targets higher order thinking skills. Students explore different perspectives on a topic through a variety of Web resources.
Cinderella - Everyone knows this most favorite of fairy tales, right? Are your students really sure? Here they will examine many different versions on the theme, and then use their creative writing skills to exchange synonyms, create diamante poems, and then write their very own version of Cinderella.
Dinosaur WebQuest - Grade 2 students learn about the habitats of dinosaurs during the different periods.
BatQuest - In Search of Stellaluna's Family - Stellaluna became lost from her mother when she was a baby. She did not get a chance to learn about who she was. Help Stellaluna learn about who she is and her special qualities.
